1) NO mention & "no comment" by Apple of HDV, only HD -- DVCPRO HD via 1394. 4 RT streams of 720p24 @ full quality and 10 RT streams of 720p24 at Preview quality.
FCP HD ships today. Look for a new QT that might have an MPEG-2 TS decoder. IF it does, possible transcode from HDV to DVCPRO HD.
2) No mention of HDV by Panasonic. But they will support MPEG-2 based HD. In a SD-card prosumer camcorder -- very cute -- in the fall of 2005!!! Also P2 based by winter 2006.
3) HDV part of Sony HD path. HDV2, which is what they call 1440x1080i 25Mbps. They had the CEBIT model under glass. They had one they used to playback 1080i. Real? Kept in box, you could not touch it. They refused to comment on CCD, 24fps, or when. Did say it would have SMPTE TC. Someone said under $7K.
Had screen shots of Premiere Pro, Xpress DV 4.0, Camopus, Ulead, and Sony Vegas (which may now encode to TS).
Of course, also had XDACAM HD camcorder under glass. VCX-415. Again no price, no date, no data on 24fps.
But they dis show 3.5" blue-laser media for future small optical camcorders.
Last, Sony is releasing HDVCAM SR 1080p60!
Signing off from NAB.
