Bret: I think the G5 Macs sound nice, but I'm more interested in laptops lately and am happy with the selection and pricing of hardware and software on the PC platform. Seems odd to me that Apple wants $3000 for a 1.33 GHz laptop when I can get a PC laptop at least twice as fast (in real terms) with most of the same features for about $1000 less. I also had a G3 Mac with Final Cut Pro for a while and couldn't find any compelling reason to use it when I was getting all my work done just fine on PCs. To each their own...
