I'll check the 8bit RGB thing. It's just that there are about 100 photos - to go through Photoshop would be pretty time consuming.

I guess one thing I'll learn is that if the manual doesn't mention it - it's probably not ano option - the manual doesn't adress jpegs, so I guess I am to assume it's not possible.

But they are in the asset pane, and if you drag them to the graphical interface they can be previewed. They just don't appear as assets to add to a slide show.
