It's worth noting that Sony have virtually abandoned the CRT computer market completely - it's not just the 24" model that is gone. The only CRT computer monitor available from Sony right now is the expensive (for a 21") GDM-C520K. I talked to someone at Sony recently who told me that they were leaving that market completely, so I wouldn't expect to see that one available for very long.

The best bet is going to be trying to acquire one from SGI, who probably have a stockpile of 24" monitors (GDM-F90W11 is the same as the FW900 but in a dark grey SGI case, I believe)

I wonder what will happen when our 24" SGI monitors fail and they have to send us replacements....

On the LCD front check out Apple's new 30" Cinema display. 2560x1600 ... $4000 or so (including the new graphics card required to drive it.)
