Bob, Where in Byrd's post did you get the idea that he hasn't repaired permissions etc? How are you "sure that he has not"? Why would you be snide with "does he know where to find them"? He asked a simple question, Tony! tried to help, but you just attack. Why don't you tell him where the prefs are if you think he doesn't know? It's easy, watch: Byrd, if you haven't trashed your prefs, you might try that, here's how (in case you don't know where they are): Go to User/Library/Preferences and remove the file com.apple.FinalCutPro.plist Then go to User/Library/Preferences/Final Cut Pro User Data/ and remove Final Cut pro 4.x Preferences and Final Cut Pro POA Cache.

Been working with 10.3.6 for quite a while (a month at least).

In that time, I've had several projects running on my system, and I feel like I'm experiencing a higher than usual crash rate.

SPECS ON SYSTEM
AJA IO
G5 2GHTZ
1.5 GIG OF RAM
HUGE ARRAY WITH ATTO 4D CARD

Getting ready to work on a very big project, and trying to tidy up my system. Aside from Disk Repairs, does anyone have any advice on something I should try to smooth out my system a bit? My crashes appear to be happening with little rhymn or reason.
