Yeah, you may be right Bob. I have some hostility left over from going through several Huge RAID's and well over a year problems with all of them. Never were we able to solve the random crashing and we tried everything x10. Including replacing every component, card, software, computer and the RAID's themselves multiple times. Even changing the power source when nothing else seemed to help, but the problems just continued. Like I said, I finally switched to the Xserve RAID's with Fibre channel connections and I've not had a single problem since. Anyway, I did overreact based on my limited knowledge of his problem. There are a lot of things he should try first as you suggested.
