Terminate?

Thank you Tony for your quick reply.
Sorry, I was not specific enough in my first post, I already had the 1.3.1 drivers.
But I wasn't aware of the fact that I have to terminate my IO - what needs to be terminated? At this point I only have IO connect to Apple via Firewire and component out to the monitor, nothing else. Is the termination absolutely necessary or just good practice?
