The system of choice is the AJA I/O. Even if the Blackmagic Decklink HD gets released, and does HD and SDI, you will STILL need all the converters for all your analog decks. The AJA I/O is a no brainer - 2000 bucks, plug it in, it works. If you can't make your money back on this investment in the next 2 years, then you are in the wrong business.
