Ingmar - the io uses all the bandwidth on the Firewire bus - so if you use another Firewire source, and want to have output from io, insert a separate Firewire card for this. You can of-course choose to unplug the io while digitizing from the camera. Restart io/FCP for playback of DV footage through io.
