Actually, the lowest speed setting in both BFX 4 and 5 is -150 - is there something with a similar name you're thinking of?

That said, take a look at the wave presets in the Library Browser. There might be something there that's close enough to what you need that might be easier to tweak.

I'm still a little curious about why the speed shift is happening, but that's the route to getting back to work as quickly as possible. :-)
