Ahhh I really need help!!

I'm using the video collection 'Standard' 2.5 (Encore 1.5)

- I have created 6 images in photoshop and made them buttons in encore.

- When you select an image, it jumps (auto activates) to its OWN menu so text appears at the bottom of the screen about that button, then plays its own video.

- so I have 6 menus

- the 'Automatically Route Buttons' function on the 'properties Menu palette' doesn't do it's job.

- I have manually routed all my buttons for the DVD remote but they work very erratically and not the straight forward way I intended!

- I have made sure all buttons are individually numbered correctly.

- I am stuck and don't know what to do! '''''HAS ANYBODY ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM?'''''...
Adobe sells the production on the ability to fluidly work between all the packages...It seems to me it has failed on such a simple task as this!
Please please tell me I am doing something wrong!
