workflow advice

sorry for the cross post. I need some workflow advice, please. I have a client who has 3 hours of Digi beta shot at 16:9 anamorphic and he wants to edit with his Mac G4 using FCP HD and his Decklink Extreme. We plan on renting the VTR to capture the 3 hours of source tapes. What would be the best settings for this project from the VTR to the Decklink and capturing for edit in FCP? We want to do it right the first time since we are renting the VTR. I am not sure yet of the final format after editing.
