No, that's not what's being said. The standard output of an HDCAM F500 is uncompressed HD which these cards ALL accept. What they do NOT accept is compressed material using the Sony HDCAM codec. For that you'll need a Sony Xpri or a Discreet Logic Inferno. Personally I prefer working with uncompressed HD.
