The setup that John has is pretty much what I am planning on doing. I have some old films shot in the late 1940s that I am transferring. The projector that I am using looks like an old 1950s projector. I would like to try this out to see how it looks on video using the dvx100. At this time, I don't think the cost of sending it off to do a telecine transfer is warrented for this particular project. Maybe if this doesn't work, I might consider it. Any more thoughts about shooting at 24p as compared to 30p or 30i? Thanks for the suggestions.
