Having interchangeable lenses is a plus to go with the 16:9 chip design. Not having to use a Anamorphic lens is a plus because of the setup involved and added cost. The availability of Matte Boxes and filters is a plus, no need to wait years for new configurations of current parts.

But, with all that said, I love the Panasonic camera myself. It has all that I need to work with, and the Anamorphic lens creates a unique look. Style is very important to a visual artist, and a camera that's so called perfect, offers little for me to create with. I know a photographer that still uses a camera made in the 50's, and shots great stuff.

All of these new and improved technical advances are great. But it can only help you if you use them, and know how to use them well.

Most are designed as shortcuts for people who haven't taken the time to learn there craft well. Some people can't live without a autofocus or autoaperture camera because they've never learned about light meters, f-stops, aperture controls, depth of field, depth of focus etc.

It's all releative :)
