John,
This caught my attention:
The only 1/3" style DV camera with interchangable lenses I know of is the Canon XL-1 (actually 1/4" imagers)
I purchased the original XL1 in 1997 and had great results; sold it in 2001.
In 2002 I purchased the XL1-S; to my surprise, despite the "improvements" even after trying to tweak the settings, I have not been able to gain the same sharpness, look and quality of the original XL1. The New XL1-S looks decidedly grainier.Canon'S specs state the XL-1S as 3 1/3" CCDs; are they 1/4" CCDs as you state above?
Thanks
Faryar
