Hi,

Striping tape on the AJ-HD1200A serves no purpose when recording back from an NLE devise as the AJ-HD1200A can not insert or assemble edit. In fact, when you record back to the deck, control track, time code, user bits, audio and video are all recorded as new content so the striping is erased and recorded over. The AJ-HD1200A was not designed as a full-up editing machine since we have the AJ-HD1700 to do that.

I know some on this list have claimed to be able to assemble edit, but please understand it is a "crash edit" and certainly not frame accurate.
