Herb -
I'm a little confused....
You should be able to stripe your FCP sequence with new TC starting at whatever number you like....in fact, your session setup parameters should specify the sequence beginning at 1:00:00:00, no? Perhaps your I/O card does not support the DVCPRO HD codec? Have you tried exporting your FCP sequence as an uncompressed QT file? You could then created a new FCP session, bring in the QT movie, and then output it via your third party I/O card. If you have created the appropriate TC track in the QT movie, it should be read by the deck no problem as long as you have selected external s-ltc or vitc as the TC source. Again, the deck won't insert or assemble edit correctly, so you have to use "print to tape" if you are laying back to the 1200A via firewire. Otherwise, you simply crash record the deck. I've done it successfully many times....hopefully you can get it worked out.
Good luck,
Robert
