Re: DVCPRO HD 24p & projection.

I am working on a feature film shot on the Pannasonic Varicam and I edited 720p24 using FCP. We loaded tape over firewire using the DVCPROHD codec and the Panasonic AJHD1200 deck.

We just had a screening on The Fox Lot and we screened in 720p24 HD using an Apple powerbook and an external fw 400 drive. It worked perfectly. No tape, no deck.

If you access to a powerbook and a drive, just export your show as a QT file, put it on the external drive. On the laptop, make an FCP project and import the QT file.

Bring everything to the theater and use the 2nd VGA port to feed the projector. Take the audio out of the headphone jack. Good luck.
