Re: URGENT Varicam/1200A Frame Rate Problem

Check a couple of settings.

The 1200A system frequency should be set to 23/59.

On the FCP side, make sure you have selected the capture preset for DVCPRO HD 720/24p.

Also, as John mentioned, make sure the system format is 720, not 1080.

Lastly....don't underestimate the power of rebooting your computer, the deck, or restarting FCP. I have had some quirky bugs with FCP and the 1200A fix themselves simply by rebooting everything.

oh...I'm sure you already know this, but make sure you have downloaded and installed HD components ver1.1 from Panasonic's website.
