Who is the client? Corporate, Broadcast or Film? The release format will depend on the client. Unless you are doing a lot of effects that need rendering, you will not be losing any quality editing in the DVCPRO HD Native mode. If you have shot 24p the native codec will save you a lot of disk space. Figure around 24 or 25 gigs per hour. You can easily edit native and release on D5 or HDCAM.
I agree with everything John suggests. Dubbing 24 hours a day will take about 10 days. Negative insurance is a must and by all means find a safe vault for your assets.
