What is the best solution for back-ups?
by

I'm about to shoot a film using Varicam HD cameras and expect to have up to 200 hours of footage. What is the best way to back up the orignial footage without loosing any quality? If I go camera to deck OR deck to deck with a 1200A will the footage be compressed twice? Is it necessary to upconvert to D-5 1080 24p before my final edit?
Thanks, AG
