I thought we were talking about products that have actually been released. ;-)

Right now, Incite 3.0 is just pictures as far as I'm concerned. Until it's public, it doesn't matter to me. The pictures of the GUI don't tell me much about how it will work in the real world.

That said, I'm sure Incite 3.0 will do fine...I'm use Incite 2.8.1 and I'll say that it has several features that I like. This doesn't take anything away from Final Cut Pro or Macintosh. Some people might say that an editor is only as good as his tools, but I submit that the reverse is also true.

There are dozens of editing programs out there. They all have advantages and disadvantages. To paint such broad strokes regarding one platform over another is very limiting.

These days I'm finding that the speed of my typing makes much more of an impact on my productivity than whether I'm using a PC or a Mac. ;-) IMHO, if you learn the program that you have chosen to edit on (keyboard shortcuts and all), your work speed will most likely increase far more than if you upgrade your computer, or even switch platfroms.

I used Final Cut version 1.0, and while that version left some things to be desired, there's no denying that Final Cut improves vastly with each new version. It *did* change the definition of low-cost editing. Let's hope that Apple continues to release products that inspire (and direct) the competition.
