To me both wedding and corporate to do well is an art, however from a creative point of view the subject and storyline always stay the same with a wedding ,whereas corporate needs to deliver a message and the subject matter changes from project to project.

Leo has different views to me, but to me the issue with FCP and many other cheaper add-on editing programs (Edit 6 Premiere etc) is that there are too many variables. The program comes from one source, the video card from another, and the drives from yet another . This to me is too many variables and too many potential problems. When something does not work I don’t have the time or the energy to contact the different manufacturers so they can all blame the other for the problem.

Your final statement “FCP is good but it is on a Mac “smacks of techno Neanderthal thinking. What difference does it make what platform a program is on if it’s a good program? You don’t edit in the operating system; but then again with the add-on editing programs that you like you may like tinkering around under the hood.
